Primary Purpose:
Implement a comprehensive program of health services for the assigned campus. Provide professional health and medical services to all students. Promote health education and preventive health practices for all students.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited professional registered nursing program
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.N.preferred)
Current/Valid Registered Nurse License to practice in the State of Texas (Texas Board of Nursing)
CPR/AED Certified
State of Texas certification in Vision/Hearing and Scoliosis screenings (preferred)
Competent holistic nursing assessment skills
Ability to assess and triage health concerns of students
Develop and write care plans for acute and chronic health conditions
Proficient and accurate charting of health reports using computerized systems
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in a timely manner
Maintain compliance with federal, state and local policies and procedures
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills must be evident
Must have strong time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records
