Overview:
* Assist the Athletic Director in providing direction for the Sport's Medicine program Grades 7 through 12
* Collaborate with and work under the direction of a team physician
* Provide student/athletes instruction on injury prevention
* Provide student/athletes rehabilitation services and emergency care
* Provide student/athletes with an opportunity to participate in a successful Sport's Medicine program
* Provide quality instruction and skill development for all student/athletes in the Sport's Medicine program
* Promote student/athlete participation in the Sport's Medicine program at all levels
* Demonstrate knowledge of therapeutic modalities and the ability to apply appropriate treatment to athletic injuries
* Establish and maintain a collaborative environment
* Establish and maintain a positive line of communication with student/athletes, parents, coaches, faculty, administrators and the community
* Understand U.I.L. Rules and Regulations
Bachelor's Degree
Valid license from the Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers
Experience as an Athletic Trainer preferred
Stipend for the Athletic Trainer is added to the applicable B.I.S.D. Teacher Hiring Guide rate to determine final salary
202 Day Contract
